Default Nokia 6630/6680 is not compatible with RS-MMC

If you own a 6630 or a 6680 and if you are planning to buy a new memory card for your new phone then please read on..

Here are some facts:-

1) The Reduced Size MultiMedia Card (RS-MMC) compatible with Nokia 7610/6670/3230 is not compatible with 6630/6680

2) Nokia 6630/6680 use Dual Voltage Reduced-Size Multimedia Cards (DV RS-MMC)

3) DV RS-MMC is a 1.8V card whereas a normal RS-MMC is a 3.0V card, because of this DV RS-MMC cards work on phones which use RS-MMC cards... for example the card (DV RS-MMC) that works on your 6630/6680 does work on 7610/6670/3230 but the card that comes with 7610/6670/3230 (RS-MMC) does not work on Nokia 6630/6680

4) The largest capacity DV RS-MMC card available to date (24/05/2005) is 256 MB..

Tip for people who plan to but a new DV RS-MMC card for their 6630/6680 :-

1) Please take your phone along with you when you buy the card.

2) Please buy the card only after checking whether it works on your phone.

3) If incase you happen to not take your phone along with you when you buy the card then please make sure that the seller (dealer) is trustworthy, so that if the card doesnt work you can return it back..

Price for Dual Voltage Reduced Size Multimedia Cards:-

128 MB - Rs 1800 (more or less)
256 MB - Rs 3000 (more or less)

I hope this help you choose the right card for your Nokia 6630/6680

Where did u get that info----- all wrong
only thing correct about is that the rsmmc of 7610 and all wont work on 6630/6680
the simplest way is to see whether that the mmc ur buying is dv or not is to check the no of pins it consists if there are 4 pins like the normal mmc then it is not a dv mmc if there are more than 4 then it is a dv mmc

and the rates well
thease are the rates
128 mb 1200
256 mb 1400
