Default Issue with Samsung handset-SGH X100

I was using Samsung SGH-X100 GPRS dual band handphone for the past one year.I bought it with bill.
I am experiencing handset reset,hang,call can't be made etc. As the warranty expired,i contacted Samsung dealer.I was informed by Samsung phone by executive and even by dealer that due to the upgradation in all the service providers,Samsung handset software need to be upgraded.

When i contacted my Hutch,they informed that upgradation is happenning around for MMS and other services is not interrupted at all and even Hutch is not experiencing the same with any of their customers.

The same handset issue is still occuring with my collegue of same model, even upgradation w.r.t software is not effective.

Can anyone help to me overcome.As the handset is 1 year old now,shop owners asking for very less amount.
